Sin in the greatest hindrance to effective Bible study. Therefore, we must never approach God’s Word until our hearts and minds have been purified through prayer and confession, James 1:21 says, “Putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls.”
