Fees
Fees are charged on an hourly rate and are variable based on the services provided. There is a sliding scale available upon request. Payment may be made by e-transfer. Detailed receipts will be provided. Please review whether registered social work services are covered by your extended health benefits plan, as all fees are due at time of session.
Rescheduling Appointments
24 hours notice for cancellation of appointments is required, as these times have been reserved for you. In the event of no show or less than 24 hours notice, the full fee will be charged for the session. In the event of contagious illness, please do not attend the appointment and reschedule as soon as possible to ensure safety for everyone you may come in contact with at the office.
Confidentiality
Counselling services are confidential within the limits of the law. In the event that personal information is to be discussed or released, you must provide written consent. There are limits to confidentiality such as child protection concerns or in the event you are at risk of harming yourself or others.
Email Use
Email can be used for arranging appointments, sharing resources and information, and sending forms. Email cannot be used for crisis intervention. Email cannot be considered 100% confidential.

10 Ground Rules For Zoom Meetings
(By email: for private and confidential disclosure agreement)
1. Show up on time and come prepared.
Be prompt in arriving to the meeting and returning from breaks. Be prepared to contribute to achieving the meeting goals. Come to the meeting with a positive attitude.
2. Stay mentally and physically present.
Be present and don’t attend to non-meeting business. Listen attentively to others and don’t interrupt and have side conversations. Treat all meeting participants with the same respect you want from them.
3. Contribute to Meeting Goals
Participate 100% by showing ideas, asking questions and contributing to discussion. Share your unique perspective and experience, speak honestly. If you state a problem or disagree with a proposal try to offer a solution. (Stay on topic matter)
4. Let everyone participate
Show time so that all participate. Be patent when listening to others speak and do not interrupt them, Respect each other’s thinking and value everyone’s contributions.
5. Listen with an open mind.
Value the learning and different inputs, and listen to get smarter of knowledge at hand. Stay opened to new ways of doing things, and listen for future suggestions or to emerge. You can respect another person’s point of view without agreeing to them.
6. Think before speaking
Seek first to understand, and to be understood. Avoid using idioms, 3 letter acronyms and phrases cannot be understood. It’s okay to disagree, respectfully and openly, and without being disagreeable.
7. Stay on Point and on time
Respect the groups, time and keep comments brief and to the point. When on topic has been discussed fully. Try to reflect what others have said.
8. Attack the problem, not the person.
Respect to challenge ideas (scripture passage, perspective, view), not the person. Blame or judgement will get you further from a solution, not closer. Honest and constructive discussions are necessary to get the best feedback and results.
9. Close discussions and identify action items.
Make sure discussions are supported by the group otherwise goals for the group (i.e. How to treat other. etc.) will not be implemented. Note pending issues and scheduled follow-up calls as needed. Identify actions based on discussions made, and follow-up actions assigned to you.
10. Record outcomes and follow-up
All meeting will be recorded and discussed, decision making or any task assigned for the next session. The meeting reports may be shared either for individual counselling, teamwork sessions, improved well-being, health and self-development talks.
